Roots and Boots Forest School Society is governed by a commited, caring and joyful group know as the “The Board”. Board members are community members who believe in the mission of Roots and Boots, helping children build their self esteem, practical skills, confidence and learning in a safe, fun, outdoor environment.

- Seasonal board meetings (four each year)
- Working groups in finance, outreach/community, and people/culture
- Must bring positivity, thoughtfulness and compassion
- Occasionally carrying something heavy into or out of the woods
